I didn't realise the 'organic thargoids' were missing too :)
i've given them a quick check in Oolite v1.90 and they seem OK

I'm pretty sure something i did in the shader ruined the effects for these variants, or i came up with something else i might have thought was better, i dunno, i went through a phase of endlessly tinkering with stuff and just ended up making everything drabber and greyer, let me have a look through ...

Drew's Elite Dangerous streams are quite a lot of fun, more so if you have a drink every time has asks "why isn't this in alphabetical order?" when he's scrolling through that big list of commanders trying to find his wing mates, you get pretty hammered after about an hour :)

i definately need to read the pbr guide again, i'm certain i'm probaby using an incorrect material heh, i edit shaders by just trying to copy as much as i can from oolite's default shader before rendermonkey breaks, the ones n the oxp "griff_HP_CobraIII_NPC" and "griff_HP_CobraIII_PLA...

I'm hoping Substance Painter is going to really drastically speed up the texturing, with a bit of time i'm hoping that i'll eventually build up a 'library' of various types of surface that can then just be dropped onto sections of the model and have substance painter generate the various colour and ...

I'm pretty sure with the new pbr code in oolite we'll be able to give it a proper chrome surface now too (might be slightly blue though if i can't fix my bugs)

yep will definitely work to make this as easily modifiable as possible, there's some amazing paint scheme designers an artists here i'm hoping will be able to work their magic on it.
