Accessing script object for escape pod crew

I'm not sure if I've missed something somewhere, but is it possible to access the script object of the crew property of an escape pod? In particular, I'm looking to see if there is (a) a script attached, (b) see if there is an unloadCharacter event function, and (c) add an unloadCharacter function programmatically.

Some time ago I tried to modify the escape pod concept of Galactic Navy to offer more choices. The idea was that depending on the crew and the destination various events could be triggered, like stay in the ship, enter the station and get a hot welcome from your enemies, ...

Needless to say after some experiments I abandoned the idea again, it never worked out. Would be great if you are successful were I failed.
