Request for when viewing the 'select commander' menu to also show the TL of the savegame/station.

example

Cobra Mark III Location Xeesle (G1/TL7)

Or

Cobra Mark III Location Xeesle Feudal TL7 (G1)

When going through your savegames can you remember the techlevel of each planet? I cannot.

After installing or altering an oxp/oxz i tend to go to different savegames to view any changes or go back to an earlier situation. :)
I would like some more information.

I would like some more information.
No, I don't remember that particular information. On the other hand I have bunch of save games that I use/need for OXP testing/developing. I have named them so that I know which one is which. I don't mean to judge you or anything, I'm just curious what's your reasoning for this kind of addition. It's not a big or dramatic change, but it's a core change and as such I think it's important to reason a bit about it. Would it be beneficial for all or even most of the users?

I don't need to see the TL on savegames and I don't remember ever needing, but that does not mean it would not be important to someone. If it's important to you, you need to convince the devs it's worth implementing.

It's just a small piece of information which gives the player the TL of the savegames,
i personally do not need the info on status as my commanders are always 'clean',
but info on TL and "government_description" are of more value to me.

Regarding 'core' it doesn't change core behaviour, me thinks.

It would be useful for me also. Sometimes I found myself after load game in a system where the wanted equipment is not available due to low TL. Could help in memorizing the TL of systems. New pilots can avoid search in shop for high tech equipments if see the TL at load game and not only check for the local TL after not found one.

Hmmm. If going that way, then I would also add economy and gov type too. All extra info in brackets after the system name.

Well, it took only a bit more than a year, but I guess better late than never, eh? Thanks to phkb for taking the plunge and doing it.
