Re: Griff's normalmapped ship remakes

Sorry about the renaming mess up guys, i totally wasn't thinking. Previously the stations main shipdata.plist keys were named after one of the sub entites that made up the station (the eg the 'faceplate' or something like that), when i merged most of these subentites into one main object and a seper...

Re: Griff's normalmapped ship remakes

I've just uploaded a small shader related update to the station bundle, bringing it up to v1.3 "v1.3 - Some small .fragment shader changes (added atmospheric fogging and a new lighting model as seen in the default Oolite shader). Re-exported the models to .dat format using the newest python converte...

Re: JB WIP thread: several ships

Fantastic work on those ships jackiebean, really cool stuff, very imgainative and nicely detailed. The Oolite stations etc are quite a bit bigger than the ships, here's a shot of a cobra (white wireframe) against a coriolis station (black wireframe) http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m213/griff_03/C...

Re: How many of you OXP authors are programmers?

I'm definately not a programmer so i picked the graphics/audio option, but playing about in Oolite with shaders and things really helped me cobble together a powershell script for work that saves loads of time adding users ( and probably the occasional Thargoid ) into our email system :D

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cm-kgW9eVmE I can only echo the comments with WTF is this video, but man I bloomin' love the guitar on this ;) give it a couple of minutes to warm up Man, if I could play guitar like this this then i'd probably give up speech and communicate entirely with leather pant...

Re: Oolite Paper Models

Wow, the amount of skill it must take to carefully fold all those triangles to make that rock model - really amazing! I've just seen that you've got the textures, but just in case it's usefull.. In the Oolite Resources\Textures folder: oolite_rock_hermit_diffuse.png = the long hexagonal 'tunnel' bit...

Re: The Bare Minimum

My OXP'ing is really rusty, but I think for an OXP using a custom ship mesh and texture, you need: 1. In Oolite's AddOns folder, a new folder for your oxp with a filename ending in .oxp http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m213/griff_03/AddonsFolder_zpsngxxj454.jpg 2. Inside that, you need 3 Sub-Folde...

Re: problems with oxp-ship

I'm not 100% sure, but i don't think you need this line is_template = 1; in any of the ship definitions other than the first "tsoj_Boomslang-mkII" one, setting a ship as a template = 1 treats that ship as a 'reference only' ship which other 'like_ship =' ship versions refer too (saves you having to ...
