The compass lets you find the main planet (and other things, if you have an advanced compass). The main station is always near the main planet, and when you get close enough to the planet, the basic compass automatically switches to point to the station instead (but it still shows the planet circle ...

The in-game OXZ Manager has only 474 at last count. Where do you see 628? The filter feature in the OXZ Manager (press 'k') lets you filter by categories, tags, etc. The only benefit I see in a multi-select feature would be when you want to install many OXPs at once with an automated download queue ...

I am not familiar with the different color representations but I agree that the conversion methods should not change the values. A consequence is that existing colors in the game that have been specified as RGB will visually change. This could be avoided by modifying the game files and adjusting the...

Yes, exactly like that one! This still would leave us needing to implement our own nested string expansion if we want to do something complex with random strings, but so far for this OXP it doesn't seem like the strings will be nested much.

I didn't consider that option. I'm not sure how to go about it with a pure JS array. Do we have access to a seedable random number generator? I'm thinking of the scenario that one OXP added a planet via plist (or JS) and wants to enforce its settings over another OXP that might be applying blanket changes unaware that the first OXP has something specific in mind for that system.
