Pretty much any equipment that's installed via a missile slot should have an upper limit of ~1 hour install time.

They are pretty much all Sealed Rounds that come ready-to-use and don't have to be fueled and prepped before firing.

I've used a missile to make wormholes (a complex OXP in its own right!) and that does emerge on the other side of the wormhole, but instantly self-destructs. This is due to its .plist script telling it to do so. With modification, it could instead go idle after going through the wormhole and run a ....

I know it's extremely "late" in this discussion, but a slight decrease in acceleration of the player's ship at low maintenance levels might be a game balance feature as well. You can still reach top speed, it'll just take longer to get there.

Misjumping between 2 systems as-is can result in different exit locations going from A->B than B->A. Rounding errors and whatnot. This isn't always the case -- probably the exception in fact -- but happens enough that you'd have to test multiple systems to find a pair that does this.

In the respect of Oresrati in G8 a full tank of 7 ly in witchspace is still not enough alas. I suppose I could linger for a terrorizer frigate (oxp thargoid) to create a wormhole in the hope that is going to Oresrati. If you stay near where you first appear in witchspace, other ships may also arriv...

You'd think there's no way to get further away from a system in interstellar space than 3.6 LY using misjumps...but the route I discovered to reach the unreachable systems in Galaxy Chart 3 at one point placed me 5.2 LY away from any system. That was done mainly using misjumps of less than 50% total...

Yes, seems they usually do have a full fuel load...though don't ask me how! :lol:

They are all reachable without OXPs.. though some will require the use of a strategically located Galactic Hyperdrive jump from the previous chart to do so.. however, there are two unreachables (the Beanxeat and Qutius group in G6, and Oresrati in G8), which have no system of high enough TL to buy ...

I used the Boa 2, which is overpowered (at least for its price at barely more than Boa 1)...but it's part of the core Oolite game.

About 26-28 LY of fuel. I didn't check, since I am using NPC ships as the fuel source...and they always have 7 LY fuel for each jump.

Even a 1% misjump takes the same fuel as a 99% misjump, and most of the jumps are 6.4 or 6.8 LY.

Variable-distance misjumps offered me an improved way to reach Oresrati in Galaxy Chart 8 -- I'd quickly figured out how to take less time. But in the last 24 hours I figured out how to use only 3 misjumps and 1 regular jump to get there -- 1 fewer misjump. __________________________________________...
