Re: [WiP]Ship's Cat OXP

From what I've seen, we have a few members who like being a "crazy cat person", and have collected them all.. If you restrict the maximum, it's bound to annoy somebody.. perhaps make an optional setting for it with OXPConfig. Another idea might be to make the frequency of SFX partly dependent...

Re: Tinkerer's Workshop - OXP tweaking for fun and profit!

The default version shouldn't, as per Dizzy's post above. You may have already tweaked your copy in the past perhaps, as this isn't the first time it's been suggested? Nope. or at least not before I'd noticed that behaviour. (I've since tweaked it for other reasons) (entity.isCargo && !entity.isPil...

Re: Tinkerer's Workshop - OXP tweaking for fun and profit!

Erm... no tweaks needed for that - It already attracts splinters (but not boulders) as is.

Re: "The Adventures of Captain Morgan" Or "Damn That Mossfoo

You seem to have Terra handing something back to Spitfire twice... (once before packing, and once before take-off)

Re: Proposal for 1.82: support for economic changes

Cargo Contracts are perfectly workable with a Python -- especially if you get the Large Cargo Bay with it so you can haul 115 TC instead of 100 TC. Even without shell game tricks, you can have 2 cargo contracts going at a time because there's many that are 30-65 TC in size. The problem in Oolite v1...

Re: Proposal for 1.82: support for economic changes

8-ring will add a lot more variety to the game and there will most probably be some unfriendly systems in the loop making it much more interesting. That said, I don't think that the possible 8-system loop is a problem. Agreed. I think that ideally there should always be a 'most profitable commodity...

Re: "The Adventures of Captain Morgan" Or "Damn That Mossfoo

I wish I could do more renders like that, but that simple picture took an entire day to do. The program froze up my computer twice. Then the render itself took well over an hour to do. Not sure what your screen resolution is, but mine is only 1280x768. I rendered that at 1920x1080 as I figured that...

Posted for your reading pleasure!

 Love that last line. :-)

And you now have a great setting for a group shot of all 5 main characters. ;-)
That being said I do like the current background pic featuring Spitfire. :-)

Re: "The Adventures of Captain Morgan" Or "Damn That Mossfoo

I can't believe you left it there! ;-) Once again I'm left wanting to be able to read on immediately. :-) a couple of notes - I think you mean Zaonce, not Zoance. (it's funny how some of the planet names can stick in your mind) :-) At the end of the chapter,- you have made instead of mad. "and they ...

Re: "The Adventures of Captain Morgan" Or "Damn That Mossfoo

Same here. The text not wrapping issue also shows up on the Atom feed. (Viewed through my online feed reader, again in Firefox on Linux) Methinks you need a new background though... ;) It seems odd to make Terra the focal point when she rarely gets any screen time. Perhaps a collage of the character...

Re: BroadcastComms MFD [beta]

In external access would be nice the short usage like this: worldScripts.BroadcastCommsMFD.$createMessage("spam", "Eat spam!"); Not sure about reducing the call this much. If there's no callback function defined, then wouldn't it be a rather pointless message? Funny maybe, but not exactly useful. ....

Re: Scripters cove

Those if statements at the end would only be processed once, when script is initiated. If you want them to be continuously re-evaluated you would need to put them into a timer callback function.

Re: Combat balance - 1.80 and 1.82

I concur with demon59, and I'm also somewhat perturbed about how this is seen as a bad thing and the gameplay needs to be adjusted to block this "exploit". I don't see going off the lane as a "dodge the game manoeuvre" in the slightest - as a sandbox game, options for the pilot to take or not as th...

Re: Combat balance - 1.80 and 1.82

An idea. Could space (or double space) be used to answer a demand automatically? In case of cargo demand of 5TC of food, it would automatically jettison 5TC food. This kind of "yes" might serve some other scenarios too. I've never had them specify what kind of cargo I have to dump. But a quick yes ...
