Re: Trumbles anyone?
I have had one Trumble for months now in my Adder. I have only precious items and the thing hasn't yet munched any of those. It has yet to eat my passenger! But I might have to see about clearing him out before I upgrade to an S9. But for the moment I am going to keep my pet. I might just keep him ...

Re: Newbie can't integrate with iTunes
I dunno... integration in apple probably runs an applescript to communicate with iTunes, so unlikely. Unless I'm wrongJazHaz wrote:Is there any chance of getting iTunes integration for Windows users?

Re: Canon Oolite Ships?
The original question was perhaps just poorly worded. "Ships mentioned in Oolite fiction" would perhaps be better. As for canon ships, go for the behemoth and galactic navy oxp's Behemoth yes, Galactic Navy no. As many people here on the boards already know, for me personally GalNav OXP is as far a...

Re: Canon Oolite Ships?
Coyote's Run is a mission based on the short story Coyote, also in the Alien Items collection. And drop the concept of "Oolite canon": it's what you make it. Aah, Coyote was great! I'll have to check out the OXP. As for canon ships, go for the behemoth and galactic navy oxp's (the navy needs the be...

But don't upgrade to 1.77 if you are using a PPC Mac to play. Incompatible

I like the idea of an in-station bar a lot, but maybe this could be more simply incorporated into Random Hits seedy space bars?

Re: Rear view frustration/solution
I am a new player (oolitist?), the next generation you could say, so I taught myself to use aft view early and didn't have any interfering instincts. But now, sometimes I get screwed up flying with the front axis, pressing the down arrow to go down and such. :? I guess there just isn't any way to be...

Re: A question for the technically inclined
Some sweet pics on those threads!
I heard something about Oolite having some kind of test tcp/ip support. Could one use that to send data to a webpage or something, and then display it in a browser window in the other monitor?

A question for the technically inclined
Here's something I've been wondering about for a while. Is there a way to use multiple monitors with Oolite? For instance you could have a main monitor and a second monitor dedicated to a specific screen. That way you could keep an eye on the state of your equipment in a fight on screen 5, or always...

Re: Surviving Naval Battles (?)
I once intentionally mis-jumped while being chased by multiple pirates. I got to watch from the safety of my cloaked cobra while three or four of them followed me straight into a pile of thargoidsSwiteck wrote:It also works on NPC wormholes, not that it's a terribly nice thing to do to other traders...

Re: Surviving Naval Battles (?)
Lots of good advise here. I recommend an iron assed cobra, maybe a boa cruiser, with any and all military upgrades you can get. Don't be afraid to run or eject. Bring a energy bomb. Once most of the bigger ships are down and stop using ECM you can use non-hardheads to deal with the robot fighters. Y...
