Yes, outstanding work! Still, I must admit my eyes tend to hurt a bit, staring at all those billboards....

Any chance to also get the previous, plain(er) version? The normal stations are simply drab in comparison.

Yes, I spotted that, thanks. [ EDIT : ] I did look for the non-png files but Arexack got there well before me. Plus there were a few minor problems with some ships never appearing inside oolite because of some of the keys were not recognized(like-ship used instead of like_ship, 2 other texture files...

I can answer that! The oxp that's loaded last (in alphabetical order) will overwrite the same name ships/planets/asteroids. As far as I can tell the asteroids inside asteroid storm have got different names. (that's why I thought they didn't have anything to do with each other). When the engine popul...

Sorry about that. I couldn't find any information on who actually changed asteroids last. Eric's name didn't appear on the readme, and yes, I did assume it was semi-abandoned. I didn't notice LittleBear's name either, but I'll try and make amends! I've been in contact with Charlie, thanks to this po...

Thanks Ark. I have spoken to Arexack: I originally wanted to send him my stuff for him to review and hopefully include in the next version of his OXP. That's what he said: I'm kinda bussy with other stuff right now, but I'll sure be back someday sooner or later. <snip> Anyway feel free to upload you...

Orphaned oxps!

... I'll adopt them! :) I've just got myself with an inordinate amount of free time & I'm very keen on getting some of the oldies shipshape for the new Oolite release, including converting script.plists to javascript. I've already made a start with a couple of them, including (foolishly) getting Orb...

Uh, good point. No, there's no way to define the size of planets inside javascript. All that can be done atm is to have the same planet repeated n times inside planetinfo.plist, with slightly different names & sizes. If you have them changing by 500 units at the time you could have names like this e...

Add 'abs' coordinate system to the legacy addShip methods?

I'm using javascript to do some scripting - oxp coming real soon now! One problem I had was: I knew where I wanted to place some ships, in absoulute coordinates, but couldn't figure out how they would translate to the legacy methods. I ended up calling legacy_addShip to create the ships at witchpoin...

Newly New Asteroids.oxp (v.1.01)

Very minor rework of the asteroids expansion pack: it was borrowing 2 textures from UPS.oxp. I gave it 2 new textures & it should now stand on its own two feet, so to speak. Also removed 1 extra requires.plist (used as a spare?) file and updated the changelog. Only found that out by accident btw. Wh...

Ouch, that looks more serious than what I got. Mind you I had the same error as you with the "weapon_offset" keys. I posted that here . Support for weapon_offset is gone in 1.70, but I wouldn't remove those keys because they're still valid & needed with the official -stable- version. The verifier is...

-verify-oxp warnings

Inside the ship definition file, the verifier comes up with quite a few warnings when keys like "view_position_aft" and "max_missiles" are found inside an NPC ship. Does the engine slow down when spawning one of these ships, compared to ones that haven't got these 'extra' keys? I'm asking because I'...

Indeed, Falcon wants its Kestrels. Got kestrel.oxp & I'll probably get merlin as well. With that I'll have the whole of Benuli Benubo 'weed's output on the hard drive. Something tells me that I'll have to go through each & every one of them to sort out the remaining problems with Orb.oxp. Charlie, e...

Hello! This sounds promising. Indeed, we can get the planet radius in javascript with system.mainPlanet.radius . There's system.mainPlanet.hasAtmosphere as well, which could be used to select a Mars like texture, though I don't tknow if that's what was used to tell the different procedural textures ...

No problem! Actually, thank you for helping me getting it to work properly with all the latest goodness! With the latest build it seems to warn about a lot more typos than it did before (and very subtle ones, at that), and it kept me very busy for 'a few' hours. On second thoughts, it was a mixed bl...
