Just installed it to use GNN and it's a big improvement most ways, but I'm not keen on the way sound is handled in the station screens - you get a few seconds of background noise then it's completely quiet unless you press a key, which doesn't really give the ambience of a busy station. Yes, the can co-exist. GNN uses completely different names, keys, etc. And as far as I'm aware only the Vector really needs Snoopers. All other OXPs which were using it have done it optionally to add some flavour. So I guess removing it won't break any other OXP, except Vector, but this is broken al...

You are right. If the entity does not explicitely declare materials in shipdata.plist you get an empty object via getMaterials().

Yes. I think milinks took two or three sounds from other sources. You can hear the differences when listening to them one after the other.

Most of the used voice samples in BGS are from milinks Customsounds.oxp from 2006. If I recall it right milinks recorded his wife instead of using speech synthesis.
