I think the bigger problem is that you can dock with all kinds of funny stuff like an orb (orb base is it?). Well I say you can, you can get your docking computer to take you in, but it crashed me the time I tried it, not sure if you can get a little ship in the gap. Or a Rock Hermit pirate will sti...

yes, good point. my initial post had said that I thought it was deliberately set like this (until, I decided not to get into that, and just talk about the solution) . I was thinking along these lines. It might make sense (although not true to Elite rules) that a refund is only for, say 60% of purcha...

10.4.10 intel OSX xcode_2.4.1_8m1910_6936315 downloaded and installed the "latest" xcode about 1 hour ago. xcode was not crating the folder, it was giving a build error because that was missing, so I created it, and now its happy. Could be due to my changing the output for build artefacts from the d...

Re: 2 weird things

The second point is strange. The selling prices should be multiplied with the same factor as the buying prices. As I don't have that OXP I can't check that, though. However if <key>equipment_price_factor</key> does not multiply the selling prices as well, then that's something Ahruman should look i...

Small point

Firstly, as I noted elsewhere, I had to use pnglib 1.2.16, or I got a compile error. I guess this is the same as the oolite 1.69.0 startup problem I had. The same as this guy had http://lists.freebsd.org/pipermail/freebsd-ports-bugs/2007-May/120128.html Secondly, I had to manually create an <output>...

It won’t try to load from the AddOns folder next to the application. If you have OXPs in ~/Library/Application Support/Oolite/AddOns/, it will load those. eh? do explain please. cause i have nothing in the ~/Library/.../AddOns/, and everything in the AddOns next to the app. Er, that is to say: it w...

Yes, thats the problem I meant. Yeah, Im pretty sure I read elsewhere that you know. I didnt so much mean solve the problem, so much as take the work off you. Or fix it for myself before the fixed version is released :)

Thanks for the advice on OXPs, I know thats probably the most sensible way to contribute, but, to be honest, it doesnt excite me. Ive looked at a few, and made a few changes, but thats not my thing, Id rather look at the innards. If anything good for the community comes of it, then great, but its re...

Sorry to be replying to myself, thought I would mention that I have seen very similar questions about the Linux branch, if someone does create Linux instructions, Im guessing that would do for me too.

Is there a development HOWTO for OSX?

I know, I know, if I cant figure this out, then I should give up before I get out of my depth. In principle, I can svn co trunk, a bit of vi, and make and everything is sweet -- however, I suspect there is more to it than that. So, enough preamble, I am interested in having a poke about in the sourc...

Cool, now that I see that, I realise that we can do the same for supercobra.oxp and orb.oxp as well. I still get a load of fugatives in witchspace though, any idea where they might be coming from? Also the thatgoids seem to be in civil war, they are all kicking 7 bells out of each other, I think thi...

Me too

Thought Id let you know that I also have the same problem, both with an updated 1.68 and a fresh 1.69.1 install. I suspect downloading the full version wont help you.

No OXPs installed, no nothing :(

Im on an Intel Core Duo MacBookPro OSX 10.4.10.

2 weird things

Maybe people already know about these things? Anyway, I am running the 1.68 on a MacBook Pro (intel). I noticed that I can dock with a Thargoid carrier, either using the docking computer, or just heading for the docking port by hand -- that seems pretty weird. And once I do dock, they will trade wit...
