Trunk (1317), osx

I am getting an NSRangeException at ResourceManager.m 574 during the startup of oolite (before the load dialog or anything, after the splash screen). [self handleArrayMerging:results forLookupKey:3]; // Index 3 is the role string (EQ_*). [startup.exception]: ***** Unhandled exception during startup:...

I am pretty sure that there is a generic problem with updated huds in the latest version. I have seen the problem on a few ships, and I think there was a thread or two about it somewhere.

Not that this is a superhelpful idea, but I always wished there was a modern version of (ie one I can run without nasty emulators) of Tau-Ceti. Maybe you could write an oo-ceti :) Its the same kind of vintage as elite, and similar, simpler I guess, vector graphics, and only 2d (3d first person unive...

I am (professionally) a java developer, so I am kind of biased in favour. It would allow me to contribute more, and it would broaden the number of people able, and willing to contribute. However, I really dont see the point, oolite works really quite well, has an extensive oxp library and really, if...

Um, it will run pretty much perfectly. That is a slightly higher spec that the machine I am on right now, and I can run oolite with debug and all sort on at a pretty much perfect speed. I dont know about framerate, it looks good enough, and thats all that matters to me. The proper build, without xco...

I like what disembodied is saying here. At the moment, I quite enjoy ferrying people around, but it is not cost effective ,it needs to be an order of magnitude or more in cost to fly, or it is simply a waste of time. Im not so sure about the different types of passenger, I imagine it to be more like...

I have been reading about kills (nerd) and claiming kills for an ejection is pretty reasonable I think. I like Erics suggestions, but there is another concern, which is what to do with Tharglets, Thargons, or whatever those remote things are. Currently they are cargo, and they also award a kill. I t...

You know Commander McLane will be very upset with that, since he'll have nowhere to 'test' his Q-bombs.

Nah, you can still go to Tianve and see some tourists.

svn web interface seems to be fine, but I cannot svn up trunk, as I get a connection refused. This was working fine a couple of days ago. Is anyone else having trouble connecting?

Edit: I have not been able to connect all day, I expect to sometimes not gtet a connection, but this seems unusual.

Im sorry that you are upset, I didnt mean to cause a problem. It is quite obvious that this is not intentional behavior, and caused by subentites being instances of ship entity. I dont see any logical or canonical reason for awarding kills for subentities, a kill is, by any definition I have heard f...

Cool. I thought so, but I wasnt completely sure that it isnt possible to just screw subentities together without a base.

People have all kinds of funky ideas, I just wanted to make sure I wasnt responsible for making the subentities thing worse :)

One question I am not 100% sure about. If a ship is composed entirely of subentities, will it now not be possible to get a kill for it? Or is there always a core that is not a subentity?

Subentity kills

I think PlayerEntity collectBountyFor (around line 3357 or so) should do something like

if ([other isSubEntity])
{
return;
}
