Re: An American Christmas card
So now I'm going to do what Yah-ha-Tey did, and remove it so anyone coming along later won't know what you two were replying to. Everyone propagandizes around Christmastime, it's not just a time for gun-shop owners and politicians, ya know. So pommies, what happened about the cinemas refusing to sho...

Re: Captain James Kirk in command...
I read that it's fundamentally unstable in the water and needs computer control to keep it upright. I see a flaw there right away. One reason for that being the large sail area, because they've got the mast enclosed in a box. Righto, let's not mince words here; the Zumwalt is as ugly as sin. Co-inc...

Re: An American Christmas card
Not "Everyone" carries a weapon here in the states. If that were so... the massacre would not have happened. Disappointed you felt a need to remove most of your post, Yah-Ta-Hey. Also, leaving the fighting words but removing the story of how you came to think the way you do seems unhelpful. :? yep ...

Re: An American Christmas card
I'll just add, in case you guys didn't bother following the link, that Michele Fiore is an MP and this Christmas card was her way of telling the voters of Nevada where she stands on gun control and their 2nd amendment rights.

Re: A new Aussie flag
Southern Cross again, with curved-spike stars formed by the spaces between the dots. Looks like a serve case of someone wanting to be too clever. I never would have seen stars in it. It's less like a national flag and more like an optical illusion riddle. Although I have to confess I kinda saw a cr...

Re: A new Aussie flag
wow, what the heck are they supposed to mean? i kind of get the boomerang but what are those circles supposed to be? I immediately saw a diagram of how to win at noughts & crosses, but no, it's the Southern Cross, just drawn in Aboriginal dot-style stars rather than European spiky-stars style. what...

Re: TOS or Next Generation?
The original Star Trek was almost good sci-fi, ruined only by the inclusion of teleportation. The later series were not sci-fi at all; they were just soap operas set in space. For TNG, you were basically just watching to see whether Troi and the loathsome Riker were on again or off again this week. ...

Re: TOS or Next Generation?
I've said it before and I'll say it again: if it doesn't have Cook and Banks in it, it isn't Star Trek, so only watch TOS, TAS and the first seven movies.

It's available through the OXZ manager. It's in the "mechanics" group. And, does it still show up with the jo...

Re: A new Aussie flag
I just wondered at mister Wildeblood's reasons for posting a picture of a flag he didn't even like? (Fixed your punctuation.) :P Any time I see some genius on twitter tweet a "Check out my new flag design, this should be our flag." message I copy it here. I don't discriminate between ones I like an...
