Who decides if an anarchy is an anarchy? Or a communist state is a communist state? Are the systems labelled communist really all communist? There would seem to be at least three possible approaches: 1) Simplistic : The anarchies really are all anarchies and the label just reflects political reality...

Surely it sounds like just the thing for Zarece?
With a combination of Zero-G technology and modern balloons large orbital cities were created that float in the higher layers of the atmosphere. Zarece consists of superdense gasses not yet fully understood."

Merlin & Kestrel: Came across this 2009 complaint: ... Someone - Please remodel the Merlin/Kestrel?? I like the ships, but at their current sizes, I don't feel they are fair. Size them on par with the originals, albeit on the lower end, and they'd be nice. No idea what it's about, but just thought ...

I've been working this rather impressive .oxp into the descriptions of equipment in the wiki.

From what I see Equipment impacts negatively on 3 areas only: volume (ie cargo space), heat (ie cabin temperature) & weight.

What effect does increased weight have?

You're right, it could be interesting. Generally, cel-shading is done with only 2 or 3 levels of shade on top of the pure color. But it is totally possible to explore different effects which could give different artistic feelings. What you propose seems akin to the "posterize" function of softwares...

Returning to the question about the role of the EEU and the main drive/engine! The default model, as I see it, would be: Energy generators -> accumulators (energy banks) -> shields Extra Energy Unit and Naval Energy Unit are generators, which imply that engines aren't, and there are core game ships ...

Is this quote correct... Yeah, pretty much. The stock Cobra MKIII has four energy banks (mine has five), and the better the energy unit, the faster your energy banks will recharge.
