Re: Debain 6.0.1/amd64 + Oolite 1.75.2 -- speed troubles

Somehow before installation of nvidia-glx, X.org loaded the nouveau driver which worked perfectly (but without direct rendering). This last part is still puzzling me, but... well... As the nouveau driver is not considered stable with the 3D rendering by the development team itself, this redenring i...

Re: Griff's normalmapped ship remakes

To El Viejo Thank you for your help. My (experimental) OXP use the feature like_ship and then, Griff's all_in_one or sole packages are dependancies. I've already apply the PaintColorN directives, but I didn't know the limit. Unfortunely, the result isn't what I expect. Thank also for the RGB confirm...

Re: Griff's normalmapped ship remakes

Hello, Look at Cobra MarkIII's size , why only 4 missiles ??? Is that missiles are "spaceproof" to be placed under the ship itself ? Is the missiles size is standard, I can't beleive them racked on a Cobra MkI, neither an ASP MkII. Unles these points, the work is great ... Thank you Griff. I have an...

Re: Why did you write that OXP?

I don't publish any OXP yet, but ... Oolite is so fun that you become addict to it. Then you are so addict to Oolite that you want more fun ... so you write OXP. I want a more efficient hud with true scanner functions : select target in vicinity by class (hostile, container, ...), support more missi...

Oolite Engine

Is there any project or will to split oolite software in two part : the engine and the ooniverse data ?

Re: Debian package build system broken

Thank you Arhuman,

I've the same understanding as you about different repositories.
The important point is the reference used by the project : mozilla-central.

Re: Debian package build system broken

PS : The SpiderMonkey enhancement project wiki : JagerMonkey https://wiki.mozilla.org/JaegerMonkey which indicate the Mercurial repository. If you look at the svn log, you should see that the js engine is updated to the latest jaegermonkey/spidermonkey release. the same engine on firefox 4 beta11 t...

Re: Debian package build system broken

When building 'with deps' you are using non-distro dependencies, ie, the ones which have been pre-compiled and are shipped with the Oolite sources. This is mainly useful for the autopackaged versions of Oolite which cannot rely on a particular target system having the dependencies installed or even...

Re: Debian package build system broken

Hello Supreme Grand Admiral, I've noticed that libpng14 is used for Linux build with deps; is it a requirement or libpng12 is sufficient for oolite ? Oolite is supposed to build with libpng 1.2.x. I haven’t tested it for a while, but the changes required to support 1.4 were small. It always a good n...

Re: Debian package build system broken

Thank you for your kind informations.

Well, I've understood the picture.
It is a tricky case for debian packaging (policy) ... but I will try to make it work as expected.

Re: Debian package build system broken

Hello, I've noticed the point about the javascipt engine. the libmozjs, provided by the system, is used at compile time. Is it a big problem ? So, if I understand the way of how the build must be done, the javascript engine may be built as a static library and statically linked into the binary. Righ...
